TalTal, however, is visibly troubled by this initiative. Even though he says nothing, he watches with concern at her growing confidence, sensing the trap the enemy is preparing. For the Eagle is waiting for the slightest weakness to strike down the Empress. When the trap is sprung, TalTal does not hesitate. He steps in, ready to sacrifice everything.
The story takes place after the Chapter 1, “Solace” and before the Chapter 2 "Pitohui" of my fiction Broken Dreams, but it can also be read independently.
