Summary
Aaron just wanted to be left alone. In his lab. Undisturbed.
That day just so happened to not be today.
Or, local chemist by trade (who really should be paid more for the shit he's tasked to do, and actually, this is not his area of expertise but nobody else was gonna do it) finds himself at the whims of his coworkers (2/5’s being family) of whom mess up his busy schedule, and not even his murder potion he made for kicks will save him. It actually made shit worse when it mixed with....something it shouldn't have.

Summary
Andrew’s own sarcastic remark was halted by a horrid sensation on his tongue; the unpleasant mixture of fizz and tart chemicals reminded him of—
He sharply turned his head to find Neil Josten chugging his sparkling water with reckless abandon.
And Andrew was tasting every drop.
In a world where people can taste whatever their soulmate consumes, tired barista Andrew Minyard is in for a shock when a certain pro Exy player begins frequenting his cafe and unknowingly torments his tastebuds.

Summary
For a long minute, the only sound is the game music until Aaron sighs and picks up his controller again to maneuver back to the main screen.
Aaron glances over and snorts at whatever he finds on Kevin's face. “Did my dashing good looks distract you, Day?”
Kevin chokes on his answer because he just can’t tell him yes. There has to be some kind of bro code or something that explicitly says you cannot flirt with a taken man even if said man is goading the fuck out of you.
Much to Kevin’s dismay, Aaron laughs. It’s such a pretty laugh.
“Don’t rush to answer me,” he continues. He has a casual sort of arrogance to him now and it’s stupidly attractive. Kevin hates himself for it. “I think I’m done with the games for tonight. Feel like making out instead?”

Summary
The early morning sunlight drifted through the curtains, cascading golden rays over the tangled mess of arms and legs in the white comforter. The Scrub Jays chirped away as usual, loud and full of energy as they are, enough to wake Jeremy Knox and immediately laid his eyes on the beautiful dark curls that laid next to him.

Summary
Two fingers go to his wrist only to find bumpy skin before his brain catches up with his hands—there was only one other person with the keys to Andrew’s apartment. Neil was almost a thousand miles from here.
But the hallucination that steps into his living room is shaped exactly like the hole in Andrew’s heart, right down to the fading slash of scars on his cheek and the too-long rust coloured hair falling into his scowling eyes.
“Do you not own a fucking phone?” are Neil’s first words to him, face-to-face, in over three months.
Andrew swallows, unbelieving of his eyes and ears, betraying as they have so many times before.
Some small part of him is deeply amused by the irony of what Neil is asking him, the way their roles have reversed.

Summary
It started with a speck. A small, brown speck that stained Andrew’s palm upon contact. He hadn’t even coughed that hard—more of a throat clearing, really—but the thin line of soot where he’d tried to wipe away the speck remained. After a few hard scrubs in the sink, the darkness disappears. Andrew forces the strange speck out of his mind, but he can't wash away the discomfort that settles in his chest like an ominous foreboding.
