Kaidou was drowning. Water filled his lungs and his mind was getting drowsier by the minute. Closing his eyes, he tried to swim back up but his body was helpless. He couldn’t feel his muscles as they went numb. His body betrayed him, the weight of the lake dragging him down into darkness.
Opening his eyes, his vision was blurred. He had to get back up, he couldn’t fail now.
However, he wasn’t able to do anything; light filtered through the water, moving shapes who seemed unreachable. His eyes closed subconsciously. He felt himself falling deeper and deeper…
…until he woke up gasping in a bubble floating in the air.

A single "what-if" can rewrite an entire story. A path untaken, a fleeting moment, a word left unsaid; or in this case, words chosen to be said. A single choice can change everything.
In this AU, Ladybug decides to confide in Chat Noir with the truth about Monarch. Little does she know the person behind the mask she told, was the one person she never wanted to find out.

The darkness is often a scary thing. Mainly because it hides many unknowns. For Celine though, it's always provided a comfort to hide the horrors of what should remain unseen. And she's familiar with a variety of horrors in her twenty years alive. Horrors that have angered her so deeply, even a mere prod at the trigger could spell explosive results. Though as they always say, what happens in the dark eventually comes to light. Her and her family's journey through Paris will be just the catalyst to bring that light to her past and character.
And maybe a little warmth along the way in the form of a teal-black dyed heartthrob.

But before she could think about how to add a superpower section in her essay on Medieval art, she was interrupted by a small object landing right on her face. Fast.
Her first instinct was to curse out Chloe Bourgeois, the only person who tended to use her for target practice, before realizing that she was locked away in her room. Chloe was rich yes, but even a multi-million euro fortune did not grant you the ability to walk through walls.
So, cautiously, she picked up the small box, now lying on her bedroom floor. The intricate patterns on the lid roused her curiosity beyond anything she'd expected and, as if convinced by some external power, she opened the mysterious present.
A flash of pink light burst and spread throughout the room."Hi! I'm Tikki! The kwami of Creation, it's nice to meet you Marinette!"
