A few instants later, the Red Bull tagged Number 4 pulled over to the pit lane in order to conclude the race of the day.
The ginger sighs, as he stops his vehicle and you can see Wriothesley get out of his car, tugging at the sides of his sweaty tracksuit to make some air for his articulations, sore from sitting in his car for a good hour.
Diet guy unzips the top of his Red Bull tracksuit, letting it hang around his waist. He brings a gloved hand to his head, and he seems to be fiddling with the straps inside because you can see him tilt his head sideways in discomfort.
Your body freezes.
It's not Wriothesley who removes their helmet, but Arlecchino.
Arlecchino.
Then it comes to hit you. Arlecchino is 'Di Knave'. Arlecchino is the other driver for the Red Bull Racing team. Arlecchino is the attractive driver, 'Number 4'.
You also realise that the diet guy whom you'd looked at the day before wasn't quite a man, but a woman.
Her.
Under the sudden shock, you focus your eyes and attention onto her to confirm your own mistake. And indeed, there never was a man. There never was a Wriothesley. Di Knave. It had really just been Arlecchino from the very beginning.

Charles kept looking over at the boy throughout the meeting. He was tapping his finger on the armrest, spinning the chair slightly with his feet back and forth. Did he look that young at his first race? He’d have to ask Fred about it. Ollie still had a baby face and big brown eyes that made him look like a baby deer, he was chewing on his bottom lip nervously and every couple of seconds looked over at where his dad was sitting. Who looked about 10 seconds from throwing up.
