And Lance, in other circumstances, would have been amused by that reaction, but there was a little girl he had to bring back to her mother; he hadn't slept for almost twenty-seven hours and needed a break.
"No, dude, now if you want to excuse me..."
The boy turned Lance to him, their faces a short distance away, purple eyes fixed on his, and Lance's treacherous heart skipped a beat.
"Blue Spirit, I'm Red Warrior. Do you really not remember me?"
At that point, Lance began to break out in a cold sweat. Of course, he couldn't remember him. Lance wasn't the real one.
(In which, due to a stupid stunt, the seventeen-year-old Lance dies and finds himself in the body of a villain of his best friend's favourite graphic novel, trying not to attract too much attention. Too bad for Lance, Keith doesn't make things easy for him at all.)

Alfor, the main chancellor and the reason the sanctuary exists, assigns the jobs to young adults that they must work the rest of their lives. When Lance is assigned as a paladin, his entire world is flipped upside down. He learns that the chancellors have lied to the citizens in the sanctuary for 20 years.

Well, during the festival someone unexpectedly bumped into Prince Keith, they were taller than Keith but not that much to where someone would call him a Twink. So, of course Keith had managed to sniff him and recognize he's an Alpha. Not only did the weird cloaked Alpha smell familiar but they knew immediately he was a Prince. What a weirdo.
Turns out the weirdo that bumped into him is Altea's next crown Prince. (The reason why they're at the Altea Empire in the first place.) It was Prince Lance, the prince who Keith is not really excited to see because they are Ex's?

“Takashi.” He began nervously and then saw the strength of his fiancé’s gaze he couldn’t help but snap “Takashi you can’t be serious!?” he hissed trying to meet his gaze trying to scan for some kind of lie in his words, but he found none, he pulled back slightly staring around the room trying to ground himself trying to stop himself from saying something fucking stupid.
“I’m serious Adam. I’m going.”
