Summary
Imprisoned for weeks by alien abductors, James T. Kirk and Leonard McCoy are getting weaker. Their only hope is that their friends from the Enterprise will rescue them, but it is going to have to be soon because they are beginning to lose all hope. Or even caring about living.
Their only defense against their serious situation is distracting each other, but that's getting harder to do, too.
But returning home may not solve their problems, either. They cannot forget so easily what happened to them and just go back to their old lives. They might need some sort of transition period to adjust and so might Spock who is going through a psychological crisis of his own.
