Later to be adopted by a loving couple, the Fezziwigs. When he is enrolled in public school, Scrooge meets the boy he'll forever know as his closest friend - Jacob Marley. Yet, unbeknownst to Scrooge - Marley is heavily obsessed with him. However, at age 15, Scrooge enters a relationship with a girl called Belle Savelli. Marley begins to spiral himself into insanity, discarding his family, years of his life and sanity to plot and scheme Scrooge and Belle's demise. All in an effort to have Scrooge to himself, but are his efforts in vain?
This is a prequel to an already finished fic, Increase The Surplus Population (ITSP). It's mainly context for ITSP and for fun. It's for the people who liked ITSP and wanted more context and backstory. I know a good group of people who were excited for this, so here it is.

Essentially, this is every "What if X was a villain?" fic taken to its logical extreme. Every Hero is a Villain, and every Villain is a Hero.
