Summary
This is a direct sequel to my novel, Larana: Devotee of Mara, Champion of Kynareth, Chosen of Akatosh.
Larana, Kaidan, and Brynjolf adjust to their new reality while dealing with Larana’s entry into the Dark Brotherhood. As her work with the Brotherhood becomes more complicated, she finds herself struggling to balance her old commitments with her new ones, and with maintaining her values despite becoming a professional assassin. After completing an important contract, she decides to return to her relic hunting roots; a fateful decision that sets off a chain of events. These events lead to strain between her, Kaidan, and Brynjolf, her meeting with Ulfric Stormcloak, and her entry into the civil war. In the course of her adventures, she also begins to realize the difficulty of the task before her to end the threat of Alduin.Series

One still manages to talk his way into her room, though, all because she is so very, very weak-willed, and the thoughts of cutting him open were tempting enough to just let him talk to fill the silence instead of spending the time alone.

When you were a child, you prayed to the Night Mother, and she answered your prayer, sending one of her children to free you from your abusers, and since then you have dedicated your life to training and researching, learning everything there was to know about the Dark Brotherhood while you searched for a way to join them, but when you get your chance, things are not what you expected them to be.
The last remaining Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary is crumbling, the five tenets forsaken, Sithis and the Night Mother mere afterthoughts, and no Listener to be found. But it would seem that your timing couldn't have been more perfect as the Night Mother is soon to arrive with her Keeper, and a face you'd given up hope on ever seeing again. Now it's up to you to find out who you can trust, if the voice echoing through your mind is truly the Night Mother, or if insanity has finally caught up with you, and if you will be able to lead the organization that saved your life back into greatness.
Basically this follows the Dark Brotherhood storyline, and then things get smutty because I can't control myself. Reader is the Dragonborn, and a high elf.

*Starts out canon compliant, and then goes into heavy AU territory. Lots of plot bunnies wreaking havoc: whatever happened to the Forsworn after the Cidna Mine incident? Is Ulfric Stormcloak merely a racist jingoistic dingleberry, or does he have 'layers'? And what if the Mage's Guild main quest didn't end there, but was blended with several Daedric quest storylines?
...and away we go.

This oneshot explores a kind of alternate universe where Astrid of the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim becomes the hero of Ferelden during the main plot of Dragon Age: Origins. For the sake of this plot, I have made Skyrim one of the nations of Thedas, rather than Tamriel. I imagine that it is close to where the Anderfels are in the Dragon Age universe.
Here is the main premise: After Astrid betrays her family and gets the listener killed, Maro decides to execute her in Solitude rather than allowing her to burn to death with the rest of her family. However, because a blight is raging in Ferelden, Duncan of the Grey Wardens is searching tirelessly for recruits. He spares Astrid's life, and it is up to her to stop Ferelden's blight. Along the way, she finds herself drawn to the mysterious sorceress, Morrigan, and drama ensues.
