He grabbed his book, cursing every cell in his body for the involuntary jump.
Sokka did his absolute best to look natural as he stared into the now open book with a fervor. He read the same word over and over again as he listened to the footsteps coming towards him from behind.
His brows furrowed in mock concentration as he steeled himself.
He could feel each footfall interrupt his heartbeat.
