Summary
Caleb's summer library job is ideal for many reasons: it's quiet, it's easy, and he receives money for spending time in a building that he'd otherwise be in anyway. However, this summer, someone's beaten him to the punch: new kid Essek Thelyss, who seems to have no idea he's stolen Caleb's spot and seems to have no interest in him at all.
But a whole summer is a long time to spend ignoring someone. And with the rest of Caleb's friends otherwise occupied, there's nothing left for either of them to do except become friends. Or maybe more.
[A glimpse into Caleb and Essek's summer together].

Summary
'Thankfully only a small collection of beings knew just how quickly he had given up that control, and how easy it had been to send the Shadowhand to his knees when the prying eyes of the Dynasty could not see how he disgraced himself for a group of fine people.'
OR - Essek has freckles that remind everyone of the stars. They're all gay and in love, and learn from each other. Gratuitous use of space imagery from someone who doesn't know enough about space :)

Summary
Fjord goes quiet. Turns his head toward Caduceus, who has decided that it is in his best interest to stare at the fire right now. “Why?”
“It’s misery, and it’s new misery, but it’s… misery I can deal with, misery that doesn’t hurt you. I could… y’know, I could settle down at the lighthouse temple on the Coast. Have a garden outside.” Involuntarily, he smiles, just a little. Were it not for his duties, for what he owes to his family, he really would enjoy this sort of life. But, well. So it goes, he supposes. But then, another thought he can’t resist, because he’s always thinking stupid things like this: “Some beehives, maybe.”
(or: On watch, Fjord asks about an offer, unmade.)

Summary
Molly had always been cocky; the tiefling had a knack for seeming bigger than himself. He walked into rooms as if he took up twice as much space as he actually occupied. His colourful attire and exotic look made him stand out like beacon in any space, often earning him many stares from many different creatures.
Yes, Molly was a cocky bastard; the main attraction of the show. Little to nothing could hold him back once that smirk found its way to his face.
And now, as the gnolls were yipping at each other, that mischievous smirk dance on his lips yet again.
