Summary
Rafeyal had been part of the Farspace Fleet for three years. As Head Commander, he was known for his wild spirit, rule-breaking habits, and yet, an undeniable ability to lead his fleet with surprising success. But his refusal to follow orders finally pushed the upper ranks to take action-they reassigned him directly under Head Colonel Caleb.
Caleb was the exact opposite of Rafeyal. Cold, strict, and serious, he followed rules to the letter and expected the same from everyone under his command. Smiles were rare on his face, and patience even rarer.
What made things more complicated was their past. Rafeyal and Caleb had grown up together in the same orphanage, side by side through thick and thin. But they had gone their separate ways at sixteen.
Now, fate had brought them back together-no longer as friends, but as superior and subordinate. After all these years, with so much left unsaid, how would they face each other again?
