Brief silence filled the room. God damn it, he should've drank some water before that, he sounded so raspy... Wait, he was still on call... Thank SFOTH it wasn't a video call, since the Officer's face quickly heated up.

"...Thank you, Mr. Hammer." A quieter voice replied after a pause, making sure to drink before he responded. Today the Officer learned to always stay hydrated, for the sake of avoiding such bad voice rasp in front of his crush again.
