Ronan was reminded of stories about angels, how they were made up of blinding, divine light that would kill any mortal who looked upon them. He closed his eyes, not wanting to burn.

Ronan reached up, gently brushing his thumb against Adam’s cheek, watching as Adam worried at his bottom lip with his teeth, before looking up at Ronan.
Adam’s expression eased, his mouth un-crumbling, his brows relaxing. He blinked at Ronan and sighed.
“Okay,” he murmured, and then more firmly, “okay.”
Ronan grinned, kissing Adam, reveling in the realness and closeness of him, of the possible future they could have together for the next four years in Cambridge.-

Summary
The brothers Lynch pulled up to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute on a perfect autumn morning. The sun shone brightly overhead, the sky blue and cloudless, a gentle breeze making the fiery red and orange leaves of the trees rustle pleasantly. Declan pulled the Volvo into a parking spot further away from the entrance than was entirely necessary, parking well away from other cars that packed the good spots. A few school busses were parked off to the side, schoolchildren being shepherded by teachers towards the front gate.
Ronan, lounging in the passenger seat, made a show of rolling his eyes, “You couldn’t have parked any farther if you tried.” Declan felt a muscle in his jaw twitch as he clenched his teeth.

this was the entirety of the dreamer series... what do you mean 'original book'?... this IS the original book. no but honest i am not AT ALL doing this work justice -- in all its beauty, in all its love, prose, poetry passion. This book was amazing (and yes, this was a book, perhaps even more.) The thought and effort the author put into this is apparent in every page and they TRULY understand the people they write about with such a deep and profound and HUMAN care and holy shit. Holy shit. you know how sometimes you step onto a work of art so amazing it breaks your brain? So poetic? So beautiful? This was that. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This was a beautiful, beautiful book.
