Goro scoffed. “Insecure, huh? As if.”
Then, acting on instinct, he brought his face within inches of Amamiya’s. “I’ll show you just how confident I am in my abilities.”

Even after multiple murder attempts and an absolutely mortifying mental breakdown, they'd still looked so excited to see Goro again. A stunned silence melting into a genuine smile, a softness to their voice telling her they were glad she was here. Seeming like they meant it and everything.
Because something is terribly, irreversibly wrong with them.
Admittedly, Goro's not much better in that regard.
It truly takes a special brand of idiocy to fall for the person who was absolutely certain they'd killed you. Somewhere along the lines of this… thing between them, Ren must've infected her with it.
