< Started 30/12/24 >Vox intertwined his fingers with Shoto's, a subtle yet intimate gesture. Neither of them expected to be in this situation, but it wasn't something they hated; they found peace within each other's company, one that they could never have found on their own. Shoto's breath hitched slightly as he felt a kiss placed tenderly on his knuckles, his gaze meeting the man beside him. This was way beyond the confines of just friends, and he wasn't sure what to make of it...
He knew that their relationship would never be the same, but it wasn't something he was entirely against; in all honesty, he was getting used to moments like this, ones where Vox looked at him as if there was nothing else that mattered in the world.

Shoto parted his lips insensately as Vox drew closer, and was moved by how gentle he was with him. Vox’s fingers brushed his cheekbone in a caress, and his eyes closed as their mouths met in something breathtakingly intimate. It wasn’t particularly passionate or chaste, but somewhere in the middle– careful. Vox knew Shoto wasn’t his, but that they also weren’t uncommitted. Vox was kissing him not as a friend, or as an omega; he was kissing him as Shoto.
When the kiss reached its end, Shoto was more confused than ever. He didn’t know which side was in control anymore, because what they had just experienced– it had simply felt right.

Wolf!Vox takes it upon himself to 'save' Bunny!Shoto from his highly-regimented and resented humanistic lifestyle by stealing him away and making him into his personal prey.
(Though the conditions of their first sexual encounter in chapter 1 definitely qualifies as non-con, Shoto quickly realizes he is built for pleasure and freely seeks Vox out for the rest of the fic. There are no 'brutal' or violent scenes in this fic. If anything, Shoto very much enjoys himself...he's just rather humiliated by that fact.)
***⚠️WARNING⚠️: this fic is contextualized by rules of the ANIMAL KINGDOM and not by standard (human) ethics. In this story, as animals, predators naturally conquer prey. In that sense, there is an implied acceptance of hierarchy and thus a normalization of triggering concepts like rape; Shoto doesn't really try to fight back, for those reasons. Shoto knows neither the name nor the face of the demon he's tracking-- he simply knows that the bastard has a particular penchant for kidnapping him into humiliating situations that demonstrate his power to keep a demon-slayer at his full mercy.
Things are made complicated when Shoto realizes he loves the pain, but hates the demon.
This story loosely follows the "5+1" format (AKA the "five times something happens + 1 time it happens differently" format). In this case, it would most likely be something like, "five times Shoto is kidnapped by a demon, and once when Shoto asks him to stay." BTW this story doesn't really have a 'happy ending,' in broad terms; it's more like a snippet of an ambiguous, morally-questionable situationship. They basically hate each other throughout but have sexual chemistry LMAO

Having a wonderful evening, everything must always go south. While celebrating the "year-end demon feast", Voxanne decides to cause trouble with a certain demon slayer. Vox, of course, has no choice but to care for the small thing. But Shoto must always put up a fight with demons. Vox wonders if it is worth fighting for and knowing his mind, he thinks it's a wonderful idea. And he wishes to know more of this youthful demon slayer. Shoto on the other hand, wishes he had aborted himself because of this situation.

Mel stutters out a sentence that he doesn’t quite make sense of, busy priding himself on the fact that Vox just said he’s his boy. When Vox asks her to finish it all condescending-like, he smiles resentfully. The more that Vox streams with others, the less time he spends with Shoto, but the fact he’s acting like she’s nothing to him fills him with joy beyond description. Since Vox asked her to finish the statement, he’ll listen in on her words just this once. “Um, as an… A noble Dracula that you are… Um, um, uh.” He stares at her animated character a bit annoyed. Spit it out, he thinks. “Would you ever…en-en-enslave him?”
He’s so busy fussing and being flustered over the statement that he doesn’t hear the rest of what’s said. That is, until, when Vox says, “If I had the opportunity? Of course.” That only riles him up even further, “Do you think you have that opportunity?” He can feel Vox smiling through the screen; It’s a strange talent to have, but he’s happy to have it nonetheless, “I mean, I don’t think- I don’t think he’d say no if I was able to ask him in private but you know, we’ll see.”
