You and Zuko were friends for years, after his mother died you only got closer, close enough to stand up to his father for him. Which unfortunately got you banished. Your father as,as told you how corrupt the fire nation was and that you’d be better off staying on kyoshi island. A few months after you turn 16, a strange group of children appear on the island. And apparently zuko follows them closely wherever they go. He’s going against everything you knew him to stand for so you decide to help out the avatar and his friends. Every time you come across him you hope that he realises he’s in the wrong.

Summary
Air Temple Island is usually a peaceful place these days, after Kuvira's failed invasion of Republic City caused extensive damage. While the citizens were evacuated, it took time to rebuild after people returned. The arrival of a spaceship, named the Darla Angel, from beyond the stars, surprises them all. The airbenders are ready to take action and take out those they believe are trying to occupy the island. They ask for Korra's help, cutting short her date with Asami. What they find is something none of them expected, leading to new friends and tricky situations not just for Korra and Asami, but for the wild lesbian space captain, Chelli, and her sciencey ex-princess girlfriend, Entrapta.

Prince Zuko, the son of Fire Lord Ozai, turns 21. His father sends him on a dangerous mission to infiltrate the neighboring kingdom ruled by King Hakoda and steal the prestigious and highly guarded Key to prove himself worthy of the crown. The Key provides and sustains the magic of all four kingdoms of the world, and a peace treaty was signed by each kingdom in favor of King Hakoda being its keeper. Along the way Prince Zuko meets Princess Katara, and they get along despite the differences in their heritage. Zuko grows fond of Katara, and she of him. But he mustn’t let his feelings get in the way of his duties; his honor is on the line. The two young royals soon find themselves in dangerous situations, and they have no one other than each other to depend on. Their love grows stronger, but there are too many secrets between them for it to become anything more. All they can do it watch as it obliterates everything they love, including themselves.

First fanfic I've written since middle school AND first one on AO3 yippee
As the title suggests, this is a Modern AU fic of Avatar in which Aang is a lad from the 1920s and Katara and Sokka find him in the freezer aisle at Target. And Zuko is trying to follow the Gaang around for honor in his private plane while the kiddos ride a voice control helicopter named Appa.
This is not work that belongs in a museum. But I like writing it anyways.
