In the summer of 1981, the chaos of the wizarding war rapidly escalates after Peter Pettigrew’s betrayal, leaving the Order of the Phoenix on the brink of collapse. A series of bombings orchestrated by Pettigrew triggers a massive breakout from Azkaban, plunging the Order into crisis amid a rising tide of suspicion and scrutiny from within and without. On the run, James Potter and Lily Evans are rescued by the fugitive Sirius Black and take refuge in the ancient Black family home at 12 Grimmauld Place, London.
With both the Ministry of Magic and Death Eaters closing in, James is forced to take up the mantle of interim leader of the Order.
