“I get tired of people picking and choosing when to see me as an adult. The kids just see me as me.”
“I see you.” Eddie frowned, spinning them around.
“You were busy.” Buck pursed his lips when Eddie glared at him. “You broke up with Marisol weeks ago and still haven’t told anyone.” Buck whispered. “I figured you would enjoy socializing with everyone and wanted you to feel included.”
“Bullshit.” Eddie said flatly, spinning them around again.
“Fine. Yes.” Buck agreed. “It is bullshit. I’m petty and jealous about having to share you with other people constantly. It pisses me off because I want your attention on me. Like, all the time.”
“Better.” Eddie smirked at him.

Realizing one night that he's in love with Eddie, Buck decides to call in to a radio station and confess his feelings. But of course, there is one person who hears his confession on the radio… someone he never expected.
Or, Chris learns that Buck is in love with his dad, and decides that chaos is the best way to deal with it.

Summary
Willingly volunteering for latrine or laundry duty wouldn't necessarily be insane, no matter how public his hatred for either chore is, but the real question is whether or not Buck's nose can handle the inevitable onslaught of stimuli right now.
The decision is made for him when Hen—and he loves her so much he's going to fix the Wilson's creaky front door—inadvertently saves him by cornering Eddie at the ambulance.
Buck does not stay long enough to find out what the hell that’s about and simply thanks the universe for his pseudo-sister, then takes the opportunity to get the fuck out of there.
or - buck is desperately struggling not to show how pathetically in love he is with Eddie, Maddie and Chimney are NOT helping and maybe, just maybe, he learns how to accept himself and all of his undead-ness in the process

“I have a date!” Buck announces the next afternoon. “It worked!” Being Buck, he does it at top volume at the table at the firehouse.
Hen looks suspicious. “What worked?”
“Eddie’s helping me fix my dating profile so it sends the message that I’m looking for a relationship,” Buck says.
Hen and Chimney both give Eddie what he assumes is supposed to be a very significant look.

“Hmm.” He slowly finished chewing his bite and swallowed. “I don’t think he’s coming over tonight, he mentioned he had a date after his shift.”
He almost felt bad at how fast his dad’s face dropped. Almost.
“But I’m sure he could come after, maybe we can text him to bring ice cream!”
“Unless the date goes well.” Dad grumbled, stabbing his food with the fork. “Maybe he’ll deign to join us.”

Chris is fed up with his dads dancing around each other and decides the best way to fix it is to rage bait his dad on social media.

When he woke up, Eddie was making coffee and looking tired, but peaceful. Buck smiled before heading into the bedroom and pulling a bag out and packing things for Eddie, too.
“What, uh, what are you doin’, Buck?” Eddie asked in confusion, holding two coffee mugs in the door. Buck reached over and grabbed his cup before heading to the living room again, Eddie trailing after in bewildered silence.
“We’re going to get Christopher.” Buck said certainly.
“Buck-” Eddie sighed.
“No. You have the option, Eddie. You can come with me, or you can stay here and I’ll have him home in a few days. But he’s coming home.”
“He doesn’t want to.” Eddie argued weakly.
“So?” Buck arched an eyebrow at him. “He’s 14, he’s a child. You are a fucking adult, Eddie, his father, and you are letting your parents take your son and use him as a do-over for what they did to you. Now. You can either come with me, or you can stay here."

Summary
“This is nice, Buck.” Albert said, looking around. Buck watched him for a minute to see if he was serious or joking, but he was just smiling at the pictures Buck had hung up that Chris had drawn or had made him get printed. “I really appreciate you letting me stay here.”
“No problem.” Buck shrugged, heading for the bedroom to get his bag.
“I’m also glad that your boyfriend isn’t threatened by me.” Albert continued and Buck promptly tripped through the door to the bedroom and he heard Eddie do the same in the kitchen. “Oh my gosh, are you guys ok?”
“Good!” Eddie called, coughing a little.
“Yeah, all good.” Buck grunted as he pushed himself back up.
“Sorry, I was just trying to make a joke. I know I’m not a threat when that’s the type of person you’re with. I mean, good for you, Buck. You too, Eddie. You’re both very lucky.” Albert apologized.

“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“It’s not my trauma, Hen” he whispers again, not trusting his voice won’t crack, “I should be able to do my job…”.
She’s about to retort that yes, it is his trauma too, his body just proved it, when they hear Buck’s hurried steps.
At her side, Eddie automatically tenses up.
“Eddie…” Hen’s voice is full of sadness.
“I can’t, not right now, I don’t want him to see me like-” he rushes but he doesn’t get to finish before Buck bursts around the corner.
“Eddie! Are you okay? What- what happened?” Buck’s voice is thick with concern, but Eddie can’t. It’s too much for him, too soon. He can’t even look at him.
“I don’t want to see him” he manages to tell Hen, voice cracking. He knows Buck hears it too, but he can’t stop himself, “I can’t.”
He knows it’s unfair. But it’s too much.

Summary
Day 99 of 105 days of 9-1-1 hiatus
Eddie Diaz had never met someone quite so insufferable as Evan Buckley: snobbish, spoilt and so utterly rude, Eddie wished to never see his (frustratingly beautiful) face again after being unfairly fired from a carpentry job he carried out on the yacht Evan shared with his husband, Tommy.
Yet when Evan falls from his beloved yacht, suffering from amnesia and shunned by Tommy, Eddie takes the opportunity to enact revenge and claim “Buck” as his husband and father of his son, Chris.
