Summary
You know that scene in The Book of Three, that showdown between a desperate, fallen queen and a defiant hero? What if that wasn't their first meeting after all? What if the real story was more tangled, more nuanced, more tragic? Boundaries can be crossed and instinct overridden, but it's impossible to truly leave one's nature behind...
Set roughly 16-18 years before The Book of Three. Consider this on the mature side of a T rating. -

Summary
So I decided to try a villain crossover story. I am very much in the "let's just see where it goes" stage, so things might change from beginning to later on. I'm mostly writing to share with my friend circle, but it's public so of course anyone else can read if they want.
Following near total destruction, The Beast has taken refuge in a realm far from The Unknown, which he has taken to calling The Eternal. The wayward souls of the wicked tend to find themselves drawn here upon their departure from their respective living realms or otherwise through near-death states. Determined to retain his claim over The Eternal and to sustain what remains of his soul for eternity, The Beast offers some of these souls their greatest desires, in exchange for the disposal of those with enough willpower to resist the call of his forest. This results in the formation of two warring factions: the followers of The Beast (The Kingdom of Skulls), and those who resist (The Tyrannical Alliance). Along the way, some will learn that the power of friendship is not restricted to heroes, some will overcome personal demons, and some will defiantly remain the same.

Summary
A proper lady would have gone with the women and children when so ordered. But she’d never been a proper lady, and he ought to know better than to think she’d start now.
The High King. Slightly AU, total wish-fulfillment mildly erotic vignette: Taran/Eilonwy having a moment the evening before the battle of Caer Dathyl.

Summary
A short-but-sweet tale of Llyr and his bride, Penarddun. Set within the mythic foundations of Saeriellyn’s beautiful novel-length fic, Daughter of the Sea, and also featured in her Castle of Llyr adaptation, Rising Crescent, Rolling Tide. She sought a folktale linking Llyr to the phenomenon of bioluminescent algae, and I happily accepted that challenge.

Summary
This is ‘The Castle of Llyr’, and the beginning of ‘Taran Wanderer’, but from Eilonwy’s point of view. I loved these books dearly when I was a kid.
I’ve tried to track her corresponding journey of self-discovery. I’ve taken a few passages of dialogue from ‘The Castle of Llyr’ but interwoven them with my own writing. As always, I have tried to match the style: that’s all part of the fun.

Summary
...The braziers burned low, and Gurgi's head nodded over the table, and Eilonwy, looking around, felt that the smiles of these companions, both old and new, sealed upon her heart, binding up its broken places, balming over the wounds of the past that still bled, sometimes, when she let herself think of them.
