Everyone had their own reasoning to be getting drunk in a nowhere little bar on a Thursday evening. Some patrons were there to relax after a hard day at work, others were there celebrating a buddy’s birthday, Ranpo had even deduced a few patrons making drug deals in the back. Though there was one patron in particular that puzzled her. A short redhead dressed much too nicely to be in such a dumpy place as this. She was clearly mulling over something in her mind, but what Ranpo wasn’t so sure about. Maybe she too came here to forget about her own failed relationship

Buying Fukuzawa a present shouldn't be this hard, but at least Nakahara hasn't given into the urge to squish him into the ground yet, which is either telling of Nakahara's self-control or Ranpo's ability to be charming.
