She was the Inquisitor. There were plenty of other suitors, younger suitors, less problematic suitors, and she chose Varric every time, over and over. He’d learned to stop questioning it, at least. It only took a few threats and a well-aimed bolt of electricity at his bare asscheek on the way out of bed one morning in order to get him to stop asking her ‘why me?’ when she told him she loved him.
Varric found he much preferred whispering a quiet ‘thank you’ to Andraste into silver hair while Aurelia slept beside him.

Of course, things don't work like that.
After a hole is blown into the sky, Adoria is called on to help the Inquisition right the world. She goes, albeit very unhappily. But, she isn't alone. Faces from her past come back to help and new friends make it all the more bearable.
And, hopefully, with the help of two certain wolves perhaps she will find the peace she is looking for after all.
