“Yes, we do. Would you like it hot or cold?” He says, like an idiot, and not for the first time this day, Ren feels the urge to scream.
(Or, Ren is a part-time barista at the Astral Express. Dan Heng is a new regular who only orders tea. The Astral Express doesn't serve tea though and it's only Ren's daily commutes to the supermarket that supplies his addiction but Ren would rather die than have Dan Heng find out.)

Summary

Even without looking at it, Dan Heng can still make out the words: EVICTION NOTICE. It’s not bad enough yet for him to panic, but it’s still enough to set him on the edge.
His thoughts drift. Concentrating becomes impossible. Today is supposed to be a day offline, he’s not supposed to be setting up to whore himself out online.
It’s unfortunate. Dan Heng has always been a good tenant. He pays his rent on time and budgets his expenses to make sure there’s enough to tide him over through the month while still being able to afford this lifestyle. He doesn’t live too lavishly. Compared to some of his classmates, his lifestyle is about as simple as it gets. The only difference between them is how he earns his money.

The only voice that was still steadily giving orders was Jingliu as she gave orders to their youngest, directing him what to do as they attended to their unconscious patient on the ground.
It was up to Ren to attend to the very gorgeous, slender-looking man who wore nothing but a huge oversized white shirt that hung very loosely over his frame brushing against the edges of his boxer shorts. His legs were bare and his eyes were wide with shock, as though he wanted to scream and burst into laughter at the same time.
This was not a sight that Ren was expecting to be received in.
But then again, Ren didn't know what was he expecting either.

Somehow, Dan Heng gets the feeling that fate is playing with him like a puppet on a string, with the way this bothersome feeling persists as he waits for the test results after taking his shower. He had little use in keeping any of the tests in his bathroom, so he had used all of them at once. He had two more boxes sealed and waiting in the plastic bag outside anyway. In the meanwhile, he occupies himself by doing his skin routine, feeling that his skin is a tad bit dry from the air conditioning from an entire day of being in lecture halls.
Once the timer on his phone rang, Dan Heng was already done with his skin routine. So, he goes to check the tests lined up next to the edge of the sink. His face slowly went pale when he saw the test results.
“No… no way. No fucking way…” Dan Heng stares at the stick with wide eyes, agape. “This must be a mistake.” Then, he goes to check the other tests. The pregnancy tests he took at random were the digital type and all of them showed him one universal answer;
