He begged nonexistent gods, begged the universe, anyone, to bring Dabi back. He can live without his quirk, but not Dabi.
“Please bring him back,“ he whispers while his hands frantically wipe away tears that may as well be everlasting.
He sends a feather towards the bathroom to restock the tissues that are running out beside him on the bed. Only to realize there are no feathers to send away—because there are no wings to send them from.

“I love it.” He responds. His hand is fiddling with yours as a soft smile resting back on his lips.
