Venti, the Anemo Archon, Mondstadt's beloved Bard, a absolute menace when it comes to taking care of himself in medical ways!
Venti never gets completely burnt out like the other Archons had, he took breaks, defended Mondstadt when it was out of everyone's control, kept his workload to a minimum. Sure, you could call him lazy, a drunkard, etc. Maybe some of it could be true at times! But Venti still helped around a lot!
So when Mondstadt's beloved Bard and secret Archon had his Gnosis (Presumably) stolen and got sick a couple weeks after... What does he do? He throws an Archon reunion, of course!
Aka
Venti gets some kind of Fatui virus stuck where La Signora stole (or tried to steal) his Gnosis... Making Venti get Ill... But instead of doing something about it, our lovely procrastinating Bard decides to throw a party instead!!
Plus, did I mention the Fatui are everywhere? No? Well now they are.

He's no longer a Knight of Favonius. He's more mature and more distant. Her friend Kaeya has grown too. He, of all people, is the Calvary Captain. And the brothers can't seem to tolerate each other, and neither wants to explain why. But as Lumine and Diluc are thrown into a world of mystery, danger, and Visions, they seem to get more questions than answers. Why are some Vision holders getting sick? Is everyone in danger? ...Are their feelings the same? Was the relationship as teens even real? Can they make what they have now work?
This could be read as a Diluc x Y/N or a Diluc x Lumine, depending on how you interpret it.

When the 11th Harbinger takes La Signora's place in Mondstadt while she's stationed in Inazuma, the City of Freedom is prepared to "welcome" one man. But two halves make a whole, do they not?
Tartaglia feels suffocated within these tight walls, where he's constantly running directly into a pale nun. Kaeya feels eyes on him at all times. Red flashes in his peripheral, while the consistent teal braids of a bard feel like chains. Who is that blonde haired alchemist, who looks at him with such a knowing stare? Why is the wind so agitated when Kaeya leaves Mondstadt's borders? And just who is the Darknight Hero, who coincidentally matches the description of the Eagle who tormented Fatui camps for four straight years? Perhaps Mondstadt was always just a means to an end.
(Don't let the MCD tag scare you !! Kaeya, Childe, and all of the Mondstadt characters are safe. As of now, the only planned deaths are ones canon to the game, but they are/were central to the plot.)

He gets into trouble after running into Aether and Lumine, one of which being the one on the wanted poster. Chaos ensues when he's forced to become allies with Lumine, a "young" witch who is just trying to save her brother from a curse.

Summary
Logic dictated that he should try to escape, find a Shogunate camp or officer away from the fighting and pray that Inazuma was still in good enough standing with Mondstadt that they would let him go home. He should not side with this apparent rebellion against an Archon, even if they had saved him.
Unfortunately, Diluc was not a creature of logic. His heart had always been his undoing.

While on his journey home to Mondstadt after 3 years as a fugitive in Snezhnaya, Diluc’s ship is caught in the storm barrier created as a part of the Sakoku Decree and destroyed. Washing up on Watatsumi Island and taken in by the Sangonomiya Resistance, Diluc has little choice but to help them if he wishes to continue his journey home— especially when he discovers Fatui involvement with the war.

After Crepus's death, Diluc makes an impulsive decision and runs off to Snezhnaya in an attempt to seek answers from the Fatui. Having been sent back to Mondstat due to a near-death experience, he grows his own empire as the owner of The Dawn Winery and catches the attention of what he used to consider his mortal enemy. An invitation to the Tsarista's ball arrives in the mail and he fears that if he refuses, he may not be viewed as a diplomat from Mondstat. Instead, as the delinquent who wiped out entire Fatui squads.
Even with all of his best efforts to conceal himself, he feels the Tsarista isn't the only person he should be worried about.

Summary
When your perfect life gets shattered in one night, what are you supposed to do? Most people would cry, sobbing until their eyes stung and mourning the decay of everything they once loved. Others might try and bargain with their new reality, doing anything and everything they can to regain what they once had.
Neither of those were an option for Diluc. Not when one event turned everything he knew and was into a sour, bitter aftertaste. The only option he had was trying to burn that taste away, covering it over with ash in the hopes he'd eventually find something in the embers left behind. Rock, sand, grass, they all burned up in two years but could never wash over the taste for good. All that was left was to blaze through snow.
But snow doesn't burn. It melts, evaporates, and then comes right back. Again and again, over and over. Snow means death if you weren't prepared for him, but if you manage to survive with him long enough, you might be able to delude yourself into thinking he was something sweet. Just for a little while.
