Verso is a simple man--if he is forced to paint, he'll paint whatever he damn well pleases. And when that earns him exasperated lectures from his father, Verso decides to double down--why not get one his oh-so aggravating paintings framed? Why not hang it up on his own and show it off to his father as a not-so-subtle act of defiance?
It's a brilliant, very annoying idea, but there's a problem--Verso doesn't know where to get a frame made, and his father refuses to divulge his contacts.
What does that matter, though? It'll be easy to find a frame-maker for his masterpieces. Or maybe it won't be. But maybe whatever not-frame-maker he finds will lend him a hand, and, just maybe, Verso will forge with him an unbreakable bond made from the most beautiful, stained glass.
