Summary
Dr. Bumby is dead, and they've been cleared of all charges regarding what happened to one supposed Lord Barkis -- it appears that Smiler Alton, Alice Liddell, and Victor Van Dort can get back to something resembling normality now! Especially Victor, who -- despite being tempted by dreams of being a Whisper -- feels it's his duty to resume his place as the son and heir of the Van Dort family.
...that is, until he and his new friends arrive at the Van Dort mansion, and Victor learns just how much he's actually valued by said family. Cue what was supposed to be his return to a life of luxury turning into a raid on the Van Dort vault, helped by his new friends -- and a couple of curious companions... It's been a couple of days since Victor Van Dort, Alice Liddell, and Smiler Alton were accused of the murder of a Spirit Warden and fled to Six Towers after thoroughly decimating the Bluecoat squad who accused them thusly -- and now they're ready to go commit some actual crime by stealing the ledger of one Dr. Bumby, supposed philanthropist and owner of the Houndsditch Home For Wayward Youth, in the hopes of exposing him as the child-abusing monster that he really is. Summary
Many lives are lead in the Shattered Isles, from the industrial city of Doskvol, to the obsidian deserts of U'dasha. Some are simple while most are not. From the worries of a Spirit Warden to a physicker dealing with unusual patients. All of these stories are stored here, in the Doskvol Archives. Not all scoundrels begin in the city though it seems a good deal will eventually make their way to its haunted streets. A look into the lives of some of the players who bring the Shattered isles to life and a closer look at some of the lesser known places and factions that can be found all over.
The Doskvol Archives is an anthology series focused on various characters from the campaigns I've played in. Some chapters will be potential spoilers for What Makes a Warden and those will be appropriately marked if you want to skip them. As a second note, some of the characters written about in here are using playbooks from the Unusual Suspects playbook jam, https://itch.io/jam/unusual-suspects-a-playbook-jam , and the authors of those playbooks will be credited in the notes of the chapters those characters appear in.
