This is an attempt of resolving the Siege of Poisson plotline since the source materials sort of ignored it at the end. Writing this canon divergence fic is like scraping the leftover in the fridge and attempting to make a new dish with them. I do hope this dish would be edible.
This is also an attempt to write a Jakob who is NOT overly dependent on Rene. Thus, his character might be OOC for some people, since his dependency on Rene is his core character.
This is a canon divergence fic of the Narzissenkreuz plotline where Jakob did not need the Abyssal implant to survive his near-death experience at Sumeru and where Rene did not find the world formula.

A fanfiction based on the NPCs from the Fontaine World Quest series “Narzissenkreuz”. Mainly Rene/Alain, with some elements of Rene/Jakob.
A story that starts from when Rene arrived at the Narzissenkreuz Institute at the age of 8, and continues through the early infatuation of childhood, the passion of adolescence, the bitterness of young adulthood and beyond.
Some details and timeline events have been rearranged; due to the series being written during version 4.0, many plot points may be overturned by future releases of ingame content.

Planned and canon compliant as of 4.0, but I may change my plan to be as canon compliant as possible when new lore are revealed.

- Mary-Ann and Alain are biological siblings
