Summary
Valley of Destiny – Timely, 1872.
Bucky Barnes had left the fight against corruption, and it hadn’t been by his own choice. The choice was made for him when he was scalped, leaving Natasha a widow.
Steve Rogers was the sheriff of that small town, whose mayor had once been regarded as a hero: Wilson Fisk.
And Tony Stark—well, he was consumed by remorse and drowned in alcohol, trying to erase the memories that refused to fade.Everything was about to change, and some things already had, even if only in secret. Even if only the two of them shared that secret.

Summary
Tony Stark has always hidden his emotions from the public eye. Emotions made you look weak, and Tony didn't want that. Besides, he was a Stark, and a Stark doesn't cry.
But then something dreadful happens, and the grief and the pain (as well as the sleepless, nightmare-filled nights, and the panic attacks, and the fear of the very big, very dangerous universe) are enough for Tony to consider showing his emotions more often, because keeping all of that bottled up is exhausting. And, well, he's not entirely sure about how much longer he can cope with it all, either.
Thank God Steve Rogers exists. Tony doesn't know what he'd do without him.
