Summary
Salvation was born when Kim Dokja died. Kim Dokja died long before then. He died on the freezing floor of the throne room, as his kids were executed. It WAS his fault, he shouldn't have done it, he knows now, he knows, just please give his kids back.
Kim Dokja cried, cried until he couldn't anymore. Salvation never mourned, he couldn't, he shouldn't, but here he was crying in the arms of the crown prince, he was dying all over again. Salvation was stronger than Kim Dokja, but not strong enough, he didn't wanna live through this again. Never again.
Yoo Joonghyuk usually didn't care, care for his throne, care for his people, care for him. But something compelled him to help. A man curled up in a corner. Yoo Joonghyuk didn't usually care, not after Yoo Mia died. But something in him told him to help. Maybe he saw a reflection of himself, maybe he saw the same shard of a broken mirror, both broken men, with broken families. Yoo Joonghyuk knelt down.
