The holographic map showed a bright orange dot circling the labyrinthine halls at shocking speed, every area it paused in beginning to flash with an alarm.
Behind them came a resounding, TARDIS-shuddering crash. The pair spun around to see that one of the metal doors on a far wall had been torn clean off its hinges. Whatever monster that had cause such damage must have been fierce; the door had been locked fast, forged out of the strongest Ghrengox steel. The one door in all of the TARDIS that Yaz had been forbidden from opening.
But there were no visible signs of an intruder - in fact, the intruder alert hadn’t gone off at all - just a flattened door and dust pluming where it fell. Yaz clenched her jaw as a chill crawled up her spine.
She felt a presence directly below. Following a sound like teeth chattering against each other, her eyes fell to her boots.
A creature no bigger than a football peered up at her with bulbous blue eyes, baring rows of blunt yellow teeth.

Summary
Set immediately after “The Tsunganda Conundrum”. The Doctor wasn’t feel well. Not well at all. In the immediate aftermath of the episode, we see exactly why Yoss wanted to give up the baby for more reasons than we could have suspected, Mabli still has her superiors to answer to, and there’s also the added fact that the ship they’re traveling on is a complete and total wreck and might not last the return journey home. Oh, and there’s a depressed/suicidal android plus, not to mention everyone having various injuries from the bomb to begin with. Determined to fix things and get everyone back safely to their desired destinies, the Doctor might have finally bitten off more than she can chew.
