The first time Byleth bathes his blade in the blood of his students, he knows there has to be a better way. But in what has to be at least two decades of traveling back and forth through time, he hasn't found a way to save everyone -- yet.
This time, though, it's going well. He's made it almost all the way through the war without losing anyone he couldn't get back. Unfortunately, a long-lost sister was one variable he did not account for, and time is running out to re-balance the equation.
Multiple-POV; the culmination of several arcs that explore a world where Byleth's time travel is more than just a re-written save file. For full context, it's best to read the several prequels, or at least LACRIMOSA.
