"Where's Fraser?"
"How should I know Frannie? We broke up." Ray said angrily.
Welsh and Francesca shared a look.
"Hold on a second," The inspector interrupted. "What do you mean you 'broke up'?"
"He said that he cared about me too much so we couldn't work together anymore."
"Wait, so you guys were… together? I mean, I heard the rumors but…"
"Of course not Frannie! We broke up in a work way!"****

Mostly screenshot-based fanart I've made during the stacked rewatch of Due South on discord/Tumblr. This started out as a timestamp roulette kind of thing but has become more of a personal art odyssey and who knows where it'll end. :D I'm posting my art on Tumblr as soon as I finish something, but I decided to collect these bits and pieces here, too, in weekly chapters.

Summary
"Alchak learned quickly after joining ship and team 803 in fleet 41 of the Reltic sector, was to never, ask about the scars. The Dur'jin had learned his lesson, among many of the other recruits for the newly made team, that it was extremely rude, human Chris had told them.
"Hey Cassandra!" human Evad began,
"Yeah?"
"We were wondering, how did you lose all your shit?"
"My what?"
"You know, your ear, foot, eye, that kinda stuff,"
Right as he said it, Alchak could've sworn the room turned a few degrees colder, was that even possible? He nervously glanced at Cassandra, her expression still a bit confused, he looked toward Frannie, who seemed completely unbothered, and then he turned to the rest of the team, minus the humans, and saw everyone in a similar state of horror and panic as he was. He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could get out a word, Cassandra asked, "Why the fuck do you want to know?" and he felt the dread build more and more, that was a hostile response for humans, was it not?"

Summary
Ray briefly kissed Fraser on the cheek, just to make sure that any passerby really had something to stare at. Vecchio was busy trying to unjam the trunk, and Frannie was busy applying lip liner with near-surgical precision, so for a moment it felt like it was just the two of them in a city of a million. The wind bit at Ray’s cheeks, and he squeezed Fraser’s hand in a sort of parting gesture.
Fraser blushed, and smoothed down his sweater. “Would you like some help with that trunk, Ray?”
“No,” both Rays said, and then looked at each other.
“Ah,” Fraser said. “This may be difficult.”
“You could call him Annoying Ray.” Frannie suggested. “Or Grouchy Ray. Chicago Ray.”
“I’m afraid that still wouldn’t resolve the issue,” Fraser said.

Summary
“There’s no need to be nervous, Frannie.” Mother informs her as she runs a brush through her hair, there to be sure everything is going well. Her touch isn’t rough– It’s nearly gentle. Unlike her Mother, really. Her fingers comb through the hair that the brush passes through, tender strokes. “You should smile. This is every woman’s dream, every woman’s purpose to wed and bear children– And you’re quite lucky. I imagined the day would never come that a man would pick a female like you to be his wife and mate, especially a man as important as Zoy. You need to smile, otherwise you’ll look ungrateful.”
“Were you happy when you married Father?” She finds herself asking, and for a moment– Mother freezes, the plastic, fabricated smile dropping from her face. She composes herself quickly, though the way she brushes her hair becomes less kind– Tugging and pulling at the strands.
“Yes, of course I was.” Mother replies, but her voice sounds fake– Like an actress’ rehearsed lines. “It’s our purpose as women, you know… Now smile.”
