Summary
Before the Diamonds, and before the Kindergartens, Gems had to come from somewhere. This turns out to be far more relevant to Stevonnie's existence, and Steven and Connie's lives, than they ever would have anticipated. Now capable of fusion, Steven joins the Crystal Gems in scraping for the remnants of Gemkind's long-forgotten heritage, and unlocking the mysteries his mother left behind.
(Generations of modification and totalitarian control have stripped away culture, strength, and many intrinsic abilities from Gemkind - but in spite of it all, fusion remains.)

Summary
A half gem by the name of Y/n gets their cracked gem healed after meeting steven, and is offered to live with him and the crystal gems. But what happens when the crystal’s learn that Y/n is more than they seem? What about the reason Y/n was originally created, Heaven never known who their parents were? What will the crystals and Y/n do if they learn more about Y/n’s history than they ever bargained for?
As Y/n finds love, finds a new family, and finds out more about themselves, Y/n is forced to make a choice.
Either protect their new family, or give in to the evils that created y/n.
