Summary
A thousand years before the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and east of the Bone Mountains that lay beyond the Dothraki Sea, the last of the Jhogwin (great stone beings twice the size of Westerosi giants) was slain by a mighty jhat (khal) of the nomadic Jogos Nhai. Gharak Squint-Eye would boast of his victory against the beast and would become a hero to his people - immortalised in song for the next millennium.
But what of the Last Jhogwin? What did it think before it joined its people in death? This is not a story of little fleshlings. This is the epitaph of the last of the Stoneborn.
