Piper is a young woman just living her childhood dreams of owning and running her own tea / coffee house. Things have been going well for her, and not much has changed in the grand scheme of things since the barrier broke--though not everything is all sunshine and rainbows. Ever since the barrier broke, something caused long dormant magic to awaken within her an an unknown amount of others. Herself and these people are 'Mages', though some have taken to calling them 'Witches'. Not only is she now dealing with her new found magic and the loss of those she thought she could rely on in her life; but the permanent changes it brings to Mages' lives as the government declares them no longer human, and what that could all mean. Well its a good thing she can count on the new friends within the Monster community which is steadily making up more of her customer base than before. Perhaps some of her newfound friends may even be able to shed light on what is happening to her and what it means. If nothing else, she can always count on the cozy atmosphere at Grillby's, as well as the comfortable, if not usually quiet company of a certain fire monster himself.

Even the fact that this person appeared out of nowhere wasn't something special - it had happened before. Though they weren't in a wedding dress this time. And they weren't ginger (just purple? Their hair was purple that is. Their skin wasn't purple. Just a little bit green looking. But not as in alien green or “I'm about to throw up” green but as in “I hate sunlight” or "I am dead” way. If that makes sense. Anyway). The weird part was their reaction. They looked at the Master, eyes in surprised recognition, and instead of saying something along the lines of "Harold Saxon?!" they basically shouted "THE MASTER!?".
