When you graduated from the Bronx school of design, never in a million years would you have thought that would have lead you to work for one of the biggest brand names in pharmaceuticals. Yet here you are, on a random Tuesday with a gun strapped to your hip and a com-link in your ear.
"Alex," Elaine hummed as she leaned in close to you, the car pulling up to the entrance of the plant.
"Yeah?" You asked gruffly, trying to ignore the way her smooth voice did things to your insides.
"Are you prepared to protect me, should something like what happened last time happen again?" She asked, referring to the gun fight she and Richard had had to survive before Richard had gone to jail for fraud.
"That's what I was hired to do," you replied, letting out an exhale. "And despite my personal feelings toward you right now, I'm going to do my job."
"Mm," Elaine hummed as she leaned in close, opening the car door from over your lap. "Good girl."

Elaine Markinson, the CEO, was clearly enduring yet another unsatisfying encounter with Richard Rusk, who was once again failing to please her. The sound of Elaine's forced pleasure grated on Julia's nerves until she couldn't take it anymore. When Richard finally left, looking self-satisfied as ever, Julia decided she'd had enough. With her heart pounding, she marched into Elaine's office and, without hesitation, offered a proposition that Elaine found too curious and tempting to refuse.
