Hamlet felt his palms begin to sweat. He couldn't help but notice the way Casanova's hands trembled slightly. That, for some reason, ticked him off. Why was he acting so defenceless? Where was the witty, cheeky, sly man he used to know?
A silence washed over them. They just stared at each other. “I do love you, you know.” The Italian then said. Hamlet's shoulders tensed. He couldn't hear that word anymore. Love. It made a bitter taste erupt in his mouth. What is the point of love if you will end up sad and alone again anyway?

Summary
Therapy is, in Hamlet’s opinion, a waste of time. He’s been crazy long enough to have seen a few therapists, and never found success with a single one. Talk therapy just doesn’t work for him. On him. Therapists have poked and prodded around his brain with their words, and it gets them both nowhere. Words are just words. And the words of psychiatrist hacks have no matter to Hamlet.
Technically, he is not institutionalized. But he constantly feels like he’s one ‘bad’ comment away from it. Therapy is a careful balance, a terrible and exhausting dance. The sessions are recorded and transcribed. He must reveal enough so they think he is participating and accepting treatment, but not so much that he’s back in the hospital.
