In Ferelden, Hawke helped save the world from the Blight. In Kirkwall, he is an apostate struggling to hide.
He crossed the Waking Sea to be with his family, the guilt of abandoning them in Lothering a stronger driver than fear of the Templars. But Hawke hadn’t reckoned on old friends and enemies in the city, hadn’t been prepared for the way his name would spread. All too soon, he is more a liability than an asset when it comes to keeping his family safe.
The Deep Roads expedition might be enough to protect his family, the money offering more security than Hawke’s presence. If he can survive those bloody tunnels for a second time. If he can keep out of Templar hands.
