Summary
Dark AU. The Second American Civil War is drawing to a close. Isabella is a biomechanically-enhanced assassin who was unable to keep her side from losing. Phineas is a weapons researcher who purchases her at a slave auction in an attempt to make up for the deaths he’s caused. Now he’s given the job of finding the last remnant of the losing side’s bio-enhancement program - the person who killed his father - not realizing that he’s sharing his apartment with her.
