Summary
If Varian made poor health choices when he was alone, then this was amplified when he worked with Hugo.
Unfortunately, both alchemists had a tendency to tunnel vision when they experimented. Of course, it didn’t happen often enough for it to become an issue, especially when they butted heads. But when Varian was willing to swallow his pride and ask the roguish man for assistance, it typically led to nights that lasted until sunrise, mixing formulas until their nostrils burned.
Tonight seemed to be one of those nights.
