Second half of the story is season 2 with alpha Armand and omega Louis
Third part of story is Louis coming to terms with being forever bonded to the bastard who directed his daughters murder. Third part is pretty dark.
Until Endgame is Louis/Armand, but all of this pretty sad through out.

Louis stared at them. The child in Lestat’s arms, limp like a doll but breathing somewhat eased. Her heart was calmed, but weaker than it should be. Burns still covered near half of her small frame.
He hadn’t turned her. Louis couldn’t think anything beyond that. Just that one truth, spinning over and over in his mind.
“This is all I can do.” Lestat said again, a wet edge of desperation to his voice. “Do not ask me for more, Louis. I beg you.”
