Sweets had long since learned that, out of everyone who worked at or with the Jeffersonian, Agent Booth was quite possibly the least dangerous person to be around. Sure, he had plenty of formal training, and he was prone to outbursts, but he tended to focus those towards inanimate objects and the case they were solving at the moment, never at colleagues or peers. And yet, there was a nagging feeling in the back of Sweets’ mind, something he couldn’t quite put his finger on, that Brennan was the safer person for him to be close to.
or, Sweets finds himself cautious around Booth after he's the main suspect in a murder investigation. Booth mans up and apologizes for being a dick.

Summary
Eating disorders are a range of mental disorders where a person’s relationship with food becomes warped, they eat too much or too little, avoid certain foods for weird unexplained reasons and begin to use harmful methods to rid their body of food. They usually develop during adolescence or early adulthood though anyone could become a victim to one of the deadly disorders at any time of their life.
Sweets had learnt a lot about eating disorders during his time in college, he’d had whole lectures dedicated to eating disorders and found them deeply interesting. He always wondered how eating disorders developed, he certainly never expected to develop one himself.

"He was working a case, like many times before, when he was cornered in the parking garage of the building and beaten almost to death by the suspect in the current case, an ex-navy seal. By some miracle, he'd survived. Someone had gotten to him in time, I don't know all the details, not in my current headspace anyway, but they managed to get him enroute to the closest hospital with absolutely no time to spare. A second later and he would've died, they told me.
I didn't think he'd pull through, when Agent Booth and Dr. Brennan had found him in the parking garage, everyone thought for sure he was a goner. The doctors told me he'd died in the ambulance for three whole minutes, but they got him back and stabilized, though not without struggle. He was rushed into surgery to stop the internal bleeding and fix all his broken bones, and they managed to save him."

Being in the loony bin had changed Zack, mentally he was now isolated from the outside world leading to feelings of loneliness and his intelligence was being wasted away but physically he could also feel his body begin to change. His stomach expanding, the way his jawline was starting to soften and his face was becoming puffed up like a pastry.
It wasn’t like he was eating an out of control diet, his meals were strictly controlled and well balanced besides he often took walks in the gardens (and to the library, rather far away although he’d never admit that to anybody) it was the medication that he was taking

The mirror is the bearer of all truth, it can only show what it sees, the mind is what distorts the truth. Sweets didn’t realise just how much his mind had been distorting his body until he finally saw how he looked like. It had been five months since he’d first made the conscious decision to skip dinner and since then he’d seen his body through a funhouse mirror.
Five months ago he was a healthy weight, now his bmi is in the lower tens and getting even lower, his weight is lower than a hundred pounds. He didn’t realise that he looked the part. His face has always thin, prominent cheekbones that are coloured with the natural blush of his face but now his face seems to have melted away. It’s as if his skeleton is poking out.
