Summary
After being chased away by Xie Lian during their exile, Feng Xin finds himself as a ghost. It takes time, but eventually he gets used to his new "life" as he tries to get strong enought to face the reason why he still lingers. Maybe, he's someone else reason to keep going, too.

Summary
The voice, Feng Xin registered dumbfoundedly, despite the broken phrases in which it spoke mingling into each other, tumbling over each other so fast it sounded like there were at least four Mu Qing's speaking, was now clear as day and impossibly close, far too close to be coming from someone who had just turned, facing away from him. In an ultimate attempt to refute his suspicion, he let his mind flicker to their private communication array, only to find it firmly closed. He stared at Mu Qing’s back, wide-eyed, his mouth suddenly very, very dry. If he wasn't hallucinating, then there was only one explanation for what was happening.
He was hearing Mu Qing’s thoughts.

Summary
Gods were incapable of getting sick, Mu Qing knew that. Which is why when he was not only throwing up to an excessive quantity AND coughing up enough blood to sustain a life form, he felt weird. And confused. Really confused. Aside from the sickness part, he was fine an hour ago? Feng Xin was applying salve to his wounds, if anything- he should be feeling better! Which led to Mu Qing's final conclusion from this entire exchange:

Mu Qing learns that apparently bottling up your feelings about pain, sickness and your friends and rival does not work out well. And even when your cursed shackle never left, that is not a sign to ignore it and proceed on with your life.

Summary
Mu Qing continuously paced around his bedroom in Xuan Zhen Palace, his mind all over the place. He still wasn't sure how to cover it up, as nothing really would.
The deep, dark black shackle crawled around his wrist, and he was unable to do anything about it. The pulsing pain of his wrist stretched out in his arm from his fingers to his forearms. He had the mark for around a week now, it never hurt any less. It was a constant state of pain.
Mu Qing's fingers twitched, annoyed as the familiar knocking pattern sounded on the other side of his private bedroom chambers.

Summary
It had evolved into this, a tension clinging to them like damp wool, making the air between them heavy and sour, the silence pressing so hard against Mu Qing’s skin it felt like it would split him open. He should have been used to it, the biting cold of being at odds with Feng Xin, the bitter taste of saying too much, too wrong, but he wasn’t. Every time, it left him raw, unsettled, off-balance in a way that made him want to lash out, to run, to do anything but stand there and let the silence swallow him.
Feng Xin never meant for it to end like this—mud, rain, blood, and the quiet terror of almost too late. Now Mu Qing won’t wake, and Feng Xin won’t leave his side. Apologies catch in the back of his throat, pining digs into old wounds, and hope—fragile, stubborn—glows in the dark like dawn through storm clouds. Maybe this time, they’ll both learn how to stay without tearing each other apart.

For just a moment, Mu Qing feels hope flickering his chest - but it’s soon extinguished by the vengeful spirits rising from the lava lake. Mu Qing looks down at them, shaking from pain and exhaustion, then up to Feng Xin, scowling, yelling at him to climb up and hold on so that he can draw his bow - but Mu Qing knows he can’t climb. Not from this position. Not in this state. He is a death weight, in the truest sense.
And Mu Qing knows then; he will go down. But he won’t take Feng Xin with him.
He wishes … he could go back in time.

Summary
Feng Xin wondered if Mu Qing kept his eyes on the array as well, before finding it strange that he had spent years in heaven now, and had never seen him even once. The realm felt strangely empty without anyone he used to know being there. He didn’t even know what palace Mu Qing joined, and occasionally prodding around for the information never helped, because Feng Xin wasn't practised in investigative work.
He must know that Feng Xin is Nan Yang Jiangjun by now, and yet he hadn't heard a word from him. Maybe Mu Qing joined a civil god’s palace, so he was always sitting inside and busy with forms.
Feng Xin snorted, imagining Mu Qing stuck behind a desk filing paperwork for the next hundred years.
He was probably bitter that Feng Xin ascended before him.

Summary
As the time went on Mu Qing started to lose his senses, he couldn’t hear anything other than the thunderous crack of the whip and it was dark enough that he really couldn’t see, not that he could if there was light given the blood loss and the concussion. At one point everything started to feel floaty other than the raging inferno on his spine. He wasn’t even sure if he was still breathing anymore. He couldn’t tell if he was still letting out little screams or if his body had given up.

Summary
So this is purely a prompt post for others. I’ve had this craving for these idea and unfortunately I’m not much of a writer anymore. I lost a lot of free time recently and honestly I don’t know if I have the commitment to keep writing.
Point being I’ve been obsessed with heaven official’s blessing recently and my favorite pair of MQ/ FX and obviously the xian le trio, and these two ideas have just been rattling k no on stop in my head for like 3 weeks so I figured I would put them out there to see if anyone else would be interested in writing them.

Feng Xin had almost thought he had misheard. Mu Qing only wanting to be friends with his Highness the whole freaking time?! It was unimaginable. Laughable. After all, all My Qing had ever done was showing how little he cared about anyone besides himself, always cold and arrogant, using his Highness as a latter to climb the ranks, only to abandon him afterwards, leaving him lying in the dirt - and Feng Xin with him.That’s what he thought right before he stepped around the corner, looked up and saw his Highness standing close to the edge of a broken bridge, desperately trying to throw Ruoye towards the person standing in the centre of the crumbling stone plates - Mu Qing.
