Summary
Bookish and shy Lucy Wilkes has gone through a lot of shit in the 60's. Moved to the city to pursue a job in nursing, moved in with her fiance and subsequently kicked him out when they discovered things weren't working, and wound up caring for a Luciferian Priest after a small motorcycle accident.

But after Papa Jedediah Sebon the Wrathful receives his final rites from Papa Emeritus Nihil the Younger and croaks, the young nurse and the local chapter of the Clergy come to realize that he's left everything he owns to her. Now a bunch of motorcycle-helmet wearing Ghouls are out for Lucy's head to right the wrongs done to them, and it's going to take everything Lucy has to give and then some to work with Papa Nihil, Sister Imperator, and her own Nameless Ghoul to survive.
