Summary
I, the forgotten One is a CYOA story about the Marshal, a once-royal who was dishonored (ring fingers cut off) after their bastard parentage comes to light. Forced to fight in a war at a young age, they become haunted by war. The story starts with another war as the Marshal is suddenly once again thrust into command.
This specific one-shot is a reimagining of the scene where the Marshal confront Queen Mira in a bar, where they talk about the past and how Mira ruined the Marshal's life.

Summary
The silence was eerie; heavy. There were no words to be said, no condolences to be exchanged, no bitter insults to be hurled. No one knew what to do in this situation. No one could think of anything that could’ve been said to make this better.
Oliwir ran his hand through his hair and patted down his tunic, only to see small, steeped red stains on the cream coloured fabric. He would’ve vomited if he could.
He wished never to wear the blood of a seven year old on his tunic again.

A day like no other. Oliwir wished it had stayed that way.

Summary
“Most of us don’t have a choice.” He replied, eventually.
Rade smiled. “And here I thought we were fighting for king and country.”
The Marshal laughed, a laugh deep from the belly, before gesturing to both of his ring fingers, or lack thereof. “We’re doin’ no such thing gov’nor. We’re just trying not to die.”
