Summary
They worked well together. They were a team to be reckoned with. And Nash grew more entranced by Arthur as they traded stories and anecdotes. People had the wrong idea about him. They thought that Arthur was cold. Unfeeling. Not true. He just needed something or someone to shine light on him. To draw out his caring side. The first time he laughed at one of Nash’s jokes, Nash nearly reached over and kissed him then and there. Of course he has dimples, Nash had mused. Of course.
OR
Nash knew Arthur before Eames. Loved him before Eames. And yet… he never stood a chance.

Summary
Eames studied them silently for a long moment. There was an aura of… something about them. Outwardly friendly, but dangerous if crossed. Erik was absolutely the latter, though Charles also seemed so in his own less ostentatious way. But there was a sense of a kind of kinship. In more ways than one.
OR
Eames is a Mutant. Erik and Charles try to recruit him.

Summary
They look at each other for a long moment, hungover brains processing this new information very slowly. And all at once it hits them. Eames lets out a very undignified shriek and tries to jump out of the bed. Unfortunately for him, his legs tangle in the sheets and he falls to the floor in an ungainly heap.
Mal. His best friend Mal. He’d slept with his oldest, closest friend.
Or
Eames and Mal take their relationship to the next level. Maybe they should have done it sober, though.

Summary
It was said that meeting your soulmate was unlike any other feeling in the world. It was as if everything and everybody else ceased to exist. Some, Arthur read, only needed to hear their other half’s voice. And for others, there were the dreams. Those were his favorite ones to hear about.
OR
Some people have dreams about their soulmates. Some people don’t. Arthur, much to his dismay, is one of the latter.

Summary
Eames knows this anger, the shade of it. It’s a frustrated, painful anger, the kind that pinches your throat and wears your mind out and the only thing you can think to do is scream. He can see it winding up in Arthur now, his hands shaking around his roll of gauze, the way his elbows jumble under the strain, the way he squeezes his eyes shut. He breathes like a smokestack, turns his face away from Eames, but there’s nowhere he can go that’s far enough for him to hide this.
This is not the kind of anger Arthur would ever want to let out. He can’t polish it, can’t perfect it, can’t make it productive. His teeth grate over each other as he cracks open his mouth, and Eames can feel this is it — he’s going to start shouting despite himself.
____
After a job, Arthur's a wreck in more ways than just a bloody one, and Eames isn't sure how to reach him without getting himself cut apart as well.
