NOTE: I never imagined this would be multichapter. It was supposed to be a silly one-shot showing the Wilson family reacting to a surprise. Instead, this story took a winding journey that examines important questions: How do you define family? How do you honor the past (including people you will never meet) while still moving forward? What does it look like to make amends without tearing yourself to pieces?
