Os moradores de Konoha aguardavam ansiosos a cerimônia “Sōrumeito”, ou “Almas Gêmeas”. Uma cerimônia para que cada um descobrisse ou confirmasse quem seria sua alma gêmea, e também era o momento onde seriam os escolhidos os receptáculos das almas dos deuses antigos.
Apesar de toda essa comoção, alguns não davam tanta importância a isso, pois para eles, sua alma gêmea não é ninguém destinado, é alguém que se escolhe.
Esse era o pensamento de Kakashi, para ele sua alma gêmea era Iruka Umino e nada o faria mudar de ideia, pois sentia no fundo do seu coração que era ele.
Ironias para alguém que dizia não acreditar no destino?
Kakashi e Iruka estavam presentes na cerimônia, assim como o melhor amigo do prateado, Obito Uchiha e seu namorado, Deidara.

When Kakashi drags him into a nearly empty room and starts molesting his mouth, Jiraiya forgets that his lover isn’t an exhibitionist, and just goes with the flow. Staring wide-eyed at the sight before him, Iruka forgets that he’s still in the metaphorical closest; as opposed to the physical one he is currently hiding in, and settles in to enjoy himself.
