Summary
He blinks to clear away the rest of the thoughts. In the midst of batting eyelashes, he notices the reflection in the window. He’s immediately drawn to the image of Kaiser. He’s not watching the light in the slightest, fully entranced in staring at Isagi.
Thin lips pursed with knitted brows, he looks caught between concentration and wanting to say something, grip loose on the bottom of the steering wheel.
Isagi has only seen him make that expression a handful of times, and it never fails to give him goosebumps.

Summary
Girlfailure Alexis Ness attempts to baby trap boy-with-no-brain-cells-outside-the-pitch Isagi Yoichi, but ends up trapping himself instead.
“Fuck,” Alexis mutters, hips starting to move. “I don’t even like you.”
“Good,” Yoichi spits, voice breaking on a moan. “The feeling’s mutual.”
Alexis laughs, sharp and poisonous, and drives in harder. The car rocks faintly on its shocks, each thrust a jolt through the narrow space. Yoichi curses, shoving at his chest, then clutching his shoulders, unable to decide which.
“You’re only good for this,” Alexis hisses against his mouth, kissing him rough enough to bruise. “And God, you’re so good for it.”

Summary
Michael Kaiser does not dream, hasn’t dreamt in a long time. Not when he was little, falling asleep anywhere but home. Not when he was in prison, on a cold, hard bench with a bail far more expensive than the jewelry he didn’t steal, but safe from his father nevertheless. Not when he dozed off in his king-sized bed, tucked away into his new apartment after his first paycheck, warm and comfortable and satisfied.
He doesn’t dream, but one day, he sees a golden ring dangling from a thin chain on Itoshi Sae’s neck, and he wonders.

Summary
Isagi rolled over, yawned, and at the realisation that he was draped half on top of the giant prawn plushie that pulled double duty as a bolster, he thought, it’s because Kaiser isn’t here. Kaiser would have claimed it as his own if he were there, curled tightly around it in spite of his distaste for it.
Stupid.
●●●●●
Kaiser pushed a box of sencha aside with more force than it warranted, muttering a curse under his breath as he did. The bag of azuki beans, being the largest obstruction between him and his coffee beans, was by far the most offensive — Kaiser didn’t even like them, yet he could never bring himself to toss them out. He told himself he simply didn’t like wasting food, and that morning, he actually believed it.
●●●●●
It has been four years since Kaiser and Isagi started playing professional football. After transferring back to Bastard München and winning the Champions League, Kaiser and Isagi may be ready to address the elephant in the room, but are stalled by various obstacles.

Summary
Yoichi has mastered two things:
1. Avoiding Michael Kaiser outside official games and press.
2. Keeping the consequences of what he did three summers ago buried in the past.He was doing just fine—until his son interrupted a press conference to destroy both.
(Alternatively: Yoichi's kid heckles a press conference - only it's Yoichi's press conference with the kid's father, and said kid's father doesn't even know he exists.)

Summary
Isagi Yoichi has an intimate confrontation with the question of, "Is this gay or European?" feat. Alexis Ness.
“Your thighs,” Alexis says, like he’s discussing equipment specs. “Explosive. Tense. Good distribution of mass.”
Yoichi blurts, “I support you, by the way.”
Alexis blinks. “…What?”
“I mean– if this is your way of, you know. Telling me something. About yourself. I’m cool with it.”
A pause.
Alexis squints, unreadable. Then something slow and dangerous starts creeping into his expression. He coughs.
“I’m talking about football form,” he says, voice cool and dry like ice over a blade. “You absolute moron .”

Summary
Yoichi is seventeen and isn’t making the best decisions.
Not making the best decisions, as in Michael Kaiser — of all people — having his head buried between Yoichi’s legs in their cramped, overheated cabin during the team holiday in Italy.
The air smells of pine trees and regret, and Yoichi’s certain the rest of the team is out there enjoying a nice, quiet night while this is happening.

Summary
Kaiser tells Noa he’ll ask Isagi to join him but won’t argue with Isagi if Isagi says no. It’s enough to satisfy Noa, or maybe Noa believes Isagi will say yes. Kaiser knows that Isagi won’t.
Despite how close they’d been when Noa had walked into the locker rooms because he’d heard groaning and a body slammed against a locker, they were both aware they could only coexist if they maintained their distance.
It's a Christmas miracle, then, that Isagi says yes immediately.

Somewhere along the years, Isagi’s boyish features had sharpened, he’s not at all the boy Kaiser met in blue lock, not the boy that had slammed a nineteen year old Kaiser against a locker and screamed in his face so what? Alpha, omega, don’t you give me that fucking bullshit! Kaiser!
Kaiser thinks of, how at that moment, a nineteen year old Kaiser had been simultaneously the closest and the furthest he would ever be to understanding a human. And Isagi thinks of— Kaiser raises a thin eyebrow when the disgust starts to seep in, just why was Isagi watching him?
Just what the fuck was Isagi imagining when he watches Kaiser as some other omega sucks him off?
