With the on-going threat of war on the horizon and the prison island's state seemingly becoming unstable, she has little doubt that trouble is on its way. she can only hope that her family will be able to control the threat before its to late.

I want to preface this by saying that I absolutely love Bryce and Hunt together. However, if he had never been a part of the story, I would have loved to see Bryce and Ithan develop into something. I felt like we were robbed slightly of anything between them and Ithan is just chef's kiss. It's a bit lengthy but I really wanted to make the background story of how they got to the eventual smut. There will be much smut in this, so please ONLY 18+ READERS.
There will be some light mentions of violence and brief mentions of other difficult topics that can be triggering.
Also, I obviously changed around some of the history and there are definite spoilers for HOEAB.

Last he remembers, he was going to war on behalf of Sahar and now she's dead and he's- he can't think like that. There's something he has to remember... There's something they all have to remember. But the Asteri's grip is tightening and it seems all might be lost if Bryce can't return soon.
note: For my peace of mind, ToG people will not come into play. I haven’t finished that series and it’s not relevant information yet in terms of crossover. If it becomes canon that Aelin helps Bryce, and this story isn’t too far into plot points, I may readjust.
